Solving a Problem - Creating a Brand


 

Grimsholm was founded in 2014 in Falkenberg, Sweden, by Hans Lundahl and Tomas Söderberg.

The founders noted there was a limited selection of accessories for their garden machinery, especially for robotic lawn mowers, which were becoming increasingly common in Swedish gardens. Most accessories were tied directly to the big machine brands, which limited competition and kept prices high.

They decided to change that by creating a machine brand owner independent alternative that would open up the market to better competition. They set out with a clear ambition to build a comprehensive Home & Garden concept that would offer affordable solutions to simplify and enhance everyday life in and around the garden.
The name Grimsholm was inspired by the rugged stretch of coastal meadows and rocky shores at the Grimsholmen Nature Reserve near where the founders live with their families, firmly grounding the brand in Swedish nature from the very start.

Hans Lundahl, co-founder of Grimsholm, remains closely involved in ensuring the concept is carried out, supporting the company’s management in fulfilling Grimsholm’s promise.

The new Grimsholm Innovation Center, now taking shape, will serve as a dedicated hub for developing tomorrow’s garden products, blending smart technology, durability, and thoughtful design. As part of this forward-looking commitment, Grimsholm also actively contributes to global standards for connected living through its involvement in the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), helping shape the Matter protocol for smart home and garden products.
