What Is Matter - and Why Does It Matter for Your Garden?
Matter is a new global smart home standard created by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) and supported by brands like Apple, Google, Amazon and Samsung. It gives smart devices a common language so they're easier to set up, more reliable, and compatible across platforms.
With Matter, you don't have to worry about whether a device works with your preferred ecosystem. A Matter-compatible product can connect to Apple Home, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings or other Matter controllers. Your Smart Garden devices simply fit into most existing smart home ecosystems — no separate hubs or complex workarounds.

What Is Thread - The Ideal Network for Your Smart Garden
Thread is a low-power, mesh wireless networking technology designed for smart home and smart garden devices. Instead of relying on a single Wi-Fi access point, Thread lets devices form a self-healing mesh network where each device can relay messages, extending coverage and improving reliability.
In a garden environment, connectivity can be challenging: devices are spread out, signals must pass through walls and vegetation. Thread addresses these challenges by providing a stable, energy-efficient network where Smart Garden devices communicate directly with each other.
Thanks to its long range, low power consumption, and fast local communication, Thread is ideal for smart gardens. Irrigation valves, soil sensors, and controllers stay responsive, and irrigation can react immediately to changing moisture levels—even if individual devices temporarily drop offline.
