The spike is made from 100% wood sourced from European forests and is designed for the repair and installation of robotic lawn mower boundary wire. The wooden spike holds the wire securely in place and, as the wire gradually becomes embedded in the ground, the spike naturally decomposes without leaving behind plastic or other fossil-based residues.
The spike can be used with cables up to 4.2 mm in diameter, making it suitable for all Grimsholm boundary wires as well as the majority of other boundary wires on the market.
The spike performs best in soft, fertile or sandy soil. For stony ground, we recommend using a different type of spike. Hard, dry clay soil may also be difficult for the wooden stake, although watering the soil can make installation easier.
