SCOPE
This extended commercial warranty applies in the European Economic Area in accordance with terms and conditions set herein to Grimsholm Green-branded products manufactured by Grimsholm Products AB (“Grimsholm”) with the “10Y” warranty symbol. All terms and conditions pertaining to the extended warranty are stated in this document and are irrespective to, if any, additional conditions, pledges, or actions by the seller or distributor of the products. Moreover, please be advised that this extended warranty is applicable only if legal guarantee as defined in applicable consumer law in relevant jurisdictions is not applicable.
WARRANTY CONTENT
Grimsholm, as defined below, warrant the Grimsholm Green-branded product against defects in materials and functionality under normal use for a period of TEN (10) YEARS from the date of retail purchase by the original end-user purchase (“Warranty Period”). This warranty applies if product defects arise and a valid claim is received within the Warranty Period. In order to avoid any ambiguity, this warranty does not entitle any regular service or maintenance of any hardware, or upgrade of related software. Provided that a defect is reported within the Warranty Period, Grimsholm will either:
(1) repair the defect at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts, or
(2) replace the product with a product that is new or which has been manufactured from new or serviceable used parts and has at least equivalent functionally as the original product, or
(3) refund the purchase price of the product.
In case any Grimsholm Green spare part or accessory has caused damage to a machine, Grimsholm will either:
(1) repair the machine defect at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts, or
(2) compensate for the machine with a deduction for age amounting to 10% for each past full 12-month period counted from the purchase date. No age deduction is applied for the first 12 months.
Grimsholm may request that you replace defective parts with new or refurbished parts that Grimsholm provides within its product range and warranty obligations. A replacement product or spare part from Grimsholm that has been installed in accordance with instructions provided by Grimsholm assumes the remaining warranty of the original product or an additional warranty duration of ninety (90) days from the date of replacement or repair (whichever provides the longer coverage). When a
product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced item becomes Grimsholm’s property. Parts provided by Grimsholm in fulfilment of its warranty obligation must be used for products for which warranty service is claimed. When a refund is given, the product which the refund is provided for must be returned to Grimsholm and accordingly becomes Grimsholm’s property.

Legal consumer rights comes first
The national laws regarding private consumer purchase rights should apply to your purchase and be handled by the company where you bought the product.
Grimsholm Extended Warranty when legal private consumer rights not applies
Locate your nearest Grimsholm Authorised Service Provider in accordance with the instructions at www.grimsholm.com/warranty/
A Grimsholm representative or Grimsholm Authorised Service Provider will help determine whether your product can be handled within the Grimsholm Extended Warranty system or not.
In each country Grimsholm distributes products you can normally find a local service center. When you use the warranty, you need to pay the shipping cost to the national service center in the country you reside in, refered to by Grimsholm when you make the warranty claim. If Grimsholm does not have a service agreement with a national service center in a certain country, you need to pay the shipment cost to Grimsholm's European service center in Sweden. If the warranty claim is approved by Grimsholm and the product shall be repaired or replaced, Grimsholm will cover the return shipment cost for you. If the warranty claim is not approved by Grimsholm you will be able to choose between destruction of the product or having the product back at your own cost.

Grimsholm may require that you provide proof of purchase details and/or comply with registration requirements before receiving warranty service.

EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS
Grimsholm Warranty is only applicable for private consumers and is not valid for professional users. The warranty applies only to products manufactured by or for Grimsholm that can be identified by the “Grimsholm Green” trade mark, trade name, or logo affixed to them. The warranty does not apply to any non-Grimsholm Green product, even if packaged or sold with Grimsholm Green products. Manufacturers, suppliers, or distributors other than Grimsholm may provide their own warranties to the end user purchaser. Such warranties are to be considered irrespective to Grimsholm’s warranty obligations.
Grimsholm does not warrant that the operation of the product will be uninterrupted or error-free and is not responsible for damage arising from failure to follow instructions relating to the product’s use. This warranty does not apply:
(a) to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, flood, fire, earthquake, or other external causes;
(b) to damage caused by operating the product outside the permitted or intended uses described by Grimsholm;
(c) to damage caused by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not a representative of Grimsholm;
(d) to a product or part that has been modified to significantly alter functionality or capability without the written permission of Grimsholm;
(e) wear of knives, batteries, trimmer line and other consumable parts unless damage has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; or
(f) if any Grimsholm Green identification number/sign has been removed or defaced.
As permitted by applicable law, Grimsholm specifically disclaims any further warranties, including statutory defined and implied. This includes, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and warranties against hidden or latent defects. Please note specifically that no Grimsholm reseller, agent, or employee is authorised to singlehandedly make any modification, extension, or addition to this warranty.
Except as provided in this warranty and to the extent permitted by applicable law, Grimsholm is not liable for any direct, special, incidental, or consequential damages arising from breach of warranty. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of use, loss of revenue, loss of actual or anticipated profits (including loss of profits on contracts), loss of anticipated savings, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, and loss of reputation. In relation to data, Grimsholm is not liable for any loss of, damage to or corruption of data including any indirect or consequential loss or damage (including the replacement of equipment and property, any costs of recovering, programming, reproducing any program or data stored or used with Grimsholm products, and any failure to maintain the confidentiality of data stored in relation to the product). Grimsholm furthermore disclaims that it will be able to repair any product under this warranty or make a product exchange without risk to or loss of the programs or data.
CONSUMER PROTECTION AND DISPUTES
Consumers are covered by consumer law in their country of purchase or, if different, their country of residence. This warranty is governed by the laws of that country and the benefits conferred by this warranty are in addition to all rights and remedies conveyed by such consumer protection law. Some jurisdictions may not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or other terms and conditions herein. Therefore, the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific contractual rights which are notwithstanding to your rights laid out in applicable law.
Consumers may refer any disputes to a competent authority as decided in applicable consumer law which may include the right to alternative dispute resolution. Any dispute between a trader and Grimsholm arising in light of this warranty shall be settled in Sweden with the application of Swedish law.
